Ocean side Museum and Hotel Seabird's curator, Rebecca Webb, has done an incredible job of selecting and displaying artwork that creates a cohesive and welcoming atmosphere for guests. From the lobby to the guest rooms, the artwork is thoughtfully curated to evoke a sense of warmth and comfort.
During the selection process for the Hotel Seabird's art collection, Rebecca Webb, the curator of the Oceanside Art Museum, chose my artwork for its unique and eye-catching design. The selected artwork is a diptych consisting of two separate pieces, each measuring 30" x 20".
On the right side of the diptych, I captured a close-up of hair over a blue and white stripe dress. The hair is beautifully styled and shines with a lustrous sheen, while the dress provides a bold backdrop to accentuate the hair's beauty.
On the left side of the diptych, I created a shadow image of a flower on the floor, with the green stem color adding a subtle pop of color to the otherwise neutral composition. The image captures the delicate beauty of the flower, and the shadow effect adds a touch of mystery and intrigue to the piece.
Rebecca Webb was particularly drawn to this diptych because of its unique design and the way it captures the essence of natural beauty in a modern and abstract way. The combination of the hair and flower imagery creates a stunning visual contrast that is both striking and alluring.
It was a great honor to have my artwork selected for the Hotel Seabird's art collection, and I am proud to have my work displayed alongside the other talented artists in the collection. I hope that visitors to the hotel will appreciate the unique beauty and depth of this diptych, and that it will inspire them to explore and appreciate the world around them
